Havensight Law provides both attorney and educational advocacy services tailored to your specific needs.

During your initial consultation, we will discuss which services are best suited for your case and outline the cost structure for each option. At Havensight, all cases are supervised by an attorney, and in most instances, both an attorney and an educational advocate will collaborate to address your needs in a cost-effective manner.

Attorney Services

Attorneys are the only professionals authorized to provide legal advice and representation. They can represent you in matters related to due process, civil rights, and other legal issues.

Educational Advocacy Services

While educational advocates are not licensed to provide legal advice or file formal legal complaints, they play a crucial role in supporting your family throughout the special education process, working with school districts and local educational authorities when necessary.  Advocates typically begin by reviewing your child’s educational records, attending IEP and team meetings with parents, and managing communications with decision-makers. They can also interpret educational evaluations, help identify necessary assessments and services, and refer families to additional professionals when needed. Additionally, advocates monitor your child’s educational progress and the need for adjustments over time.
